Sat car show - Grant , Fla.
Nearly 100 cars at the
1st annual Grant . Fla. BBQ festival .. The Desoto wagon was a first ever for me & the Studebaker President received my vote .A bob sled in Fla.? Not just a bob sled but a gold medal winning bob sled by Geoff Bodine himself . See last pic . It is comprised of a single 2 1/2 " aluminum hoop . carbon fiber panels & 4 runners , super light weight .Walked up to him & said "What the hell is Geoff Bodine doing in the very small city of Grant , Fla .? " He replied " My wife Lori is from here. " I said "I understand now ."We talked a little about the old racing days , his crash at Daytona & Dale srs. crash . Later he came by the truck walked up to me & stated "This truck is absolutely "Worthless " I thought the next word would be beautiful .He said I can't even haul anything in it or toss my fishing poles in it . Of course he was joking . Over all a good day w/ BBQ & perfect weather .
