Thermostat gasket ??????
After removing the housing in my 1979 Ford F-150 351m I noticed I had a Windsor thermostat... After looking for quite along time I found the RT 139.... Is the the correct gasket ? What is the correct one if I have the wrong one thanks guys

Oh fancy gasket. It is not a 351W gasket at least. Looks to be the right one to me.

Looks the same as the "proper" 351m gasket. Many parts for the 351m and the 400 are the same. I say ask for the gasket for a 400 because Ford only made one 400.

To be specific everything is the same between the 351M and the 400 save for the carb (calbration only) Cam (calibration only) and the reciprocating assembly. Otherwise they are the same engine.

The gasket in the pic looks like a Fel-Pro 35041T Perma-Dry. The regular one is a 35041. They are both listed for a 351M/400. The difference is the price. 35041T-$8.99.
