So I need to get a remote start put in on the truck as Wendy will be using the rig the next week or so and I'm able to use this to my advantage to get this installed This is the one I'm looking at since I don't really want another fob hanging around:

I've got a 2-way Viper 1-mile range unit, had it on since I bought the Ex going on 6 years ago. I won't go into the first winter with a car/truck without having a remote start...everything I own has one.
I meant do you plan on adding a proximity or glass sensors? If your spending on a remote start and alarm might as well make it worth while and at least had the proximity sensor, hood sensor's. I say glass too because of the amount that Excursion's have.

Ahhhhhhh... I would like to yes. Do you have any things you think I should change because of that?
See what they say you can do initial install now and ask them about expanding the rest at a later time. I assume the system you chose should work with your power door locks which is nice too.
Well Best Buy installed the system today. I feel pretty good with it so far, but I won't know for sure until a few days and I give it a good shakedown. I'll post up which unit I went with tomorrow, but I know it was a Compustar unit.
