Rack & pinion steering
In my 2003 lincoln navigator, lately every time I start my truck my steering has been very tight and now when I'm driving it seems to be tight at one point and as I turn it loosens up. Could my rack be bad or going bad?

No rack and pinion, it's a gear box. You could be having an issue with front end parts binding, the gear box mounting bolts could be loose, the u-joints in the steering column could be binding, the power steering fluid could be low or contaminated. Are there any other symptoms like it only binds when cold, hot, rainy, etc.?
