Am upgrading my 2001 Expy w/trailer towing mirrors from Taiwan. Hey, Ford doesn't make them, so I gotta do this for safer towing.
Anyway, the wiring harness connectors are different, so I might be in for a cut and splice job here. But before I start, are there many mirror differences with these trucks? Mine are heated, power, w/turnsignals, but are models w/different mirrors using different connectors? Or is a case of Taiwanese manufacturing thinking "It's just like a F-150, throw them on"?

Yes, there are multiple variations of the wiring and the connectors.
You have joint shared custody of the truck on alternating weekends?
You might not believe this, but it's true.
The Expy has ~ 240k miles on it, and I wanted to get her something newer, the truck has had a couple of things go wrong when she was driving it. The latest being the serpentine belt failing, and she is clueless about wrenching.
So we go shopping, and she decides she wants a Lexus RX350. A deal comes up a few months later on a 2013, and now it's in the garage.
Where it sits.
99 times out of 100 she still drives the old Ford. Go Figure.
