Bit of white smoke
mostly bulletproofed at around 90k miles, EGR delete, studs, head gaskets (not sure stock or onyx), oil cooler. no coolant filter or blue spring mod, no change in coolant type.
At 126k miles (reason it was being sold) all 8 injectors were replaced. At point of purchase, I had blue spring mod and coolant filter installed, and coolant replaced.
From what I can tell, Ford did a warranty job on head gaskets and EGR at around 65K miles, also FICM at this time.
I've put around 200 miles on it since I got it, and since the injectors, blue spring, and coolant filter were done.
I've noticed a bit of white smoke a couple minutes after start up at idle, and occassionally when I get on it with the street tune. Have not noticed it with the looney tune, which I only turned on once, as that is def. putting out black smoke, which would cover up any white smoke.
I do not always get black smoke with the street tune.
I have noticed no lack of power, I am pretty sure this truck will run a mustang GT down in a hurry. Mileage varies between 13-17 depending on driving type and style (13 on my way to work in traffic doing 35, 17 on hwy doing 70-80) Truck is lifted on 35s
I cannot smell the differance between oil and coolant tbh. Mechanic is planning on looking at the turbo next week to see if it is leaking oil. Just worried it may be a coolant issue, and that I may be looking at new head gaskets or something. Is there any way that I can relatively easily check this? I bought this truck to be my daily driver and tow vehicle, would rather not have to revert to driving my mud truck to work and back.....
