Most likely it's legit. Problem these days with ebay is that you have to pay big bucks to put a reserve on an auction however you can cancel the auction for free if you don't feel it will meet your asking price. Not saying the particular seller is doing that. Many car dealers list dozens of cars and then cancel the bids and auctions out at the last minute. One thing many people don't realize is that ebay auto auctions and real estate transactions are NON-binding. I "bought" a car cheap but the guy refused to sell it because it didn't meet his asking price. Nothing I could do about it but complain to ebay which in turn informed me that all car sales are non-binding due to state/federal laws.
Aw c'mon, the flat V8 and the 6's in the F-1's are hardly speedsters, can you imagine what it's like to drive a 6,000 lb truck with only 100 HP at your disposal?

It's got to be about like driving a 5,000 pound truck with only 95 hp. SLOWLY

I've been driving a '55 F500 with a whopping 130HP.
It was running on seven cylinders, that notched it down from the 130 mark a bit. I am putting in a bigger motor, but, it's a Y block 292. I've built enough go-fast SBCs in my life. Time to slow down and enjoy the road.
I'm not saying a foriegn motor is a bad thing. It's just not for me. If I wanted HP, I'd have stuffed in a heavily modified 440.
BTW: y-blocks forever forum has one guy running a twin-turbo 292 and getting 721HP and pushing 780 ft-Lbs of torque - AT THE WHEELS!
It has a rather mundane, utilitarian headache rack, but, the winch and spare tire are sure to win somebody over. Now, if they can just get their wife on "the same page."
That looks like one that's worthy of checking out if you're close and wanting a Big Job. Very nice.

It has been for sale locally for quite a while at that price...I can imagine that a decent offer on it will take it. Like you say...if you can convince the wife that dragging home such a beast is a good idea.
I'm watching that one in New Hampshire just out of curiosity to see what it tops out at.
