Explorer Rear end Yes or No

Is this a good choice for a F1 with a 351 and a C4 automatic

Yes, look for one with the 31 spline axles. Beware, they have 3 1/4" tubes so you have to get the u-bolts and plate with it. I didn't and ended up buying new ones at Ford Parts for some outrageous price. I am also using 1" spacers on my wheels to track the same as my TCI front end.

Depends if you want a different bolt pattern, too. What front end are you using?

I've only owned two F-1s but in both cases, I just bought mid-'60s 9-Inchers and bolted them in. No muss - No fuss.

I have a Mid 70 truck 9 inch sitting in the garage but i want to use the mustang 11 front end, that's why i thinking the explores rear end so the wheels will all match up

Mid-70 9" would be too wide.

I got one from a mid 90's V-8 Exploder with disc brakes and 3.73's
I think I'm going to be very happy with it...
The V-6 one have options of Taller gearing if your not gonna use an overdrive trans.
