Hi, I just purchased a 2002 Expedition, EB, 4.6 and the PO had it lowered 2 inches with 23" wheels. I got a flat and wanted to change the wheels to 22" to get a little more rubber on the road. 305/40/22 offset is +20.
I noticed that the wheels are closer to the fender on the drivers side than they are on the passenger side.
I am rubbing on the driverside but not on the passenger side. Is this normal or is there something wrong? I tried to search but haven't found the same question in my searches. Any help is appreciated.

It could be that the front end alignment camber setting for the right and left sides could make the difference, and/or worn ball joints. How much difference is there between the two sides?
Thanks alloro!
It's about 5mm or so, I didn't take an exact measurement. I know the springs have been on the car over 8 years. Do they need to be replaced as well? I think Ill have the camber settings checked.
Should I be able to fit 305/40/23 without any rubbing? Or is 285/40/23 the widest I can get in the front with a 2'' drop?
LOl! i know normally I wouldn't but I was getting tire rub on that side....Trying various tires sizes and offsets this week, so will find out what works finally....thanks for the replies.
