got tired of the big chrome rectangles on the front of my wife's expie so i followed the steps of others here and tore into the OE housings. turned out pretty good.
i'm thinking maybe when i finish all my other projects at home i'll do something similar with the foglights.. paint the bottom surface of them.
Looks good. When it came time to replace my stock chromed housings (lens opaqued...) I just found some new ones from the FX models. They came stock with blacked out backgrounds but left the parking light/turn signals amber, 'cause by DOT regs you have to have amber reflectors up front.
..cause by DOT regs you have to have amber reflectors up front.
there are alot of DOT regs that don't fly in my driveway.
i think the reflector can be amber or white.. maybe i'll get a small piece of reflective black vinyl for each side in an inconspicuous spot should it become a problem with the local fuzz.
