Arm rests

Anybody have any ideas on what arm rests work for our trucks? I'm going to order the ABS panel kit from Mid 50's and use a 90's Chevy truck seat.
I want to keep a nice clean look.

Almost any will work. Go to your local U pull yard and wander around until you find a pair you like, or do a search on door arm rests on ebay motors, I got over 3,000 hits. Remember you can always change the color with upholstery dye. If you want something modern looking there are dozens of companies making new ones, or make your own out of aluminum bar stock.

If you are pulling your seat out of a truck, try to get the matching arm rests, the Chevy trucks have some good looking arm rests.

What ever you decide, just make absolutely sure you have room for a beverage holder! Preferably below window level!

I used one made for a Jeep Wrangler available in the aftermarket to replace the door strap...only had to drill one hole!

I was going to attach a picture of it but for some reason most of the pictures in my gallery have disappeared!

Here's a shot of them...

Good point. Now that I'm thinking about a cup holder, maybe a 96- F150 type, the type that connects to lower seat cushing.

Back to the arm rests, I'd like to find something that is a OEM arm rest/grab handle and bolt to the flat door panel. Does anybody know if the 91- Econoline arm rests are like that? I'm thinking they were

Most separate armrests will bolt (screw actually) to a flat panel. A few have a bracket that screws to the door first and the rest attaches to the bracket with a couple screws, usually in the bottom of the grip recess. Just make sure it will clear the seat where you decide to mount them.
