Height Sensor and CCSM reset question
Thanks for all your expert opions on the site here.
I have two questions - I was having trouble with my airbag and the climate control buttons for my front seats not working.
1. I replaced the suspension with a Strutmaster aftermarket spring assembly. Now that my dash reads "check suspension" every time I turn it on, strutmasters told me I need to have the dealer hook it up to the Ford IDS computer, go to PIDS, select calibration of ride height, raise and lower points, and then raise the vehicle until all the tires are off the ground. That supposedly gets rid of the light. - Is this IDS software a tool I can purchase or download on Ebay to do myself? Anyone have experience with this at all? Thanks
2. As far as the CCSM system goes, I was told that I need the same software to reset it and the buttons will most likely work again (something to do with low voltage and the jumpstart causing an issue). I also heard that I can disconnect the battery cables and touch them together to reset all of the modules onboard?? Any ideas?
