It depends on what your truck configuration is see here, https://www.fleet.ford.com/showroom/...%20Pickups.pdf

Looks like you will need a 4.30 and 22,500 CGVW, and you will be right up there in weight limit.

You can regear it easily enough. But that is a lot of trailer for an SRW and a lot of trailer for a gasser. It can be done. I can't guarantee you will like it. You're going to miss that PSD you traded.

I don't think you are going to want that much trailer with that gas motor. Better downsize.

I have the 2011 with the 6.2, 3.73 rear end and i tow a 12000 lb fifth wheel with no problem. I got rid of a 2004 6.0 because it was $1000 me to death. lol

All of this info is in the brochure. We are just saying you need to reevaluate your truck of the 5er you are going to get. you can tow what you want. Just don't say you were not warned when you are setting on the side of the road.

Mine is 12,600 loaded but I have the 4.30's. It pulls it just fine and will even maintain the speed limit up 6% grades. I wouldn't want to try it with 3.73's though. Might get a little hard on the truck. All depends on where you live and how you drive most of the time. Loving mine and don't miss the 6.4 at all.

You can find all the tow charts at the Ford fleet site:
https://www.fleet.ford.com

I would post the exact link, but the site is having technical difficulties at this moment.
