I've recently taken delivery on my 2011 f250 4x4 lariat supercab. Its truely one impressive truck!! I really only have one small complaint which is not having a dome/map light in the rear of the super cab. its completly dark in the back seat at night as the only lights are coming from the overhead consle by the rearview mirror. Now to fix this i'd like to find a wrecked 2008 or newer crew cab and take the rear light out and wire it into my front lights. So its really not a big deal but it seems like a pretty cheap out move on Fords part
I don't have the overhead console by the mirror in my SuperCab, but instead I have the overhead dome light with map lights between the front seats. It still provides little to no light to the rear seats. I guess Ford figures that since people can barely fit back there, they would definitely not need any light.
My only beef with my '11 is the lack of child seat fasteners. Would cost $0.99 to put the quick clip fasteners in. The seatbelt fasteners are for the Amish! Ended up modding my seat to make them fit. I'd sooner have them safe than legal.
Has anyone ever installed a dome light in their truck? I could not believe the cheap-out by Ford not installing a dome light so you can see in the back of the cab. It's something I'm apprehensive about tackling because I don't want to screw up the wiring or the headliner
