OK, now that I see the trailer full of hay, I have a bit of a nub question. I have the 97' F-250 Powerstroke, what will she pull and what will she carry in the bed? I hear the 250 is built with 1 ton parts. Someone please school me..
only difference is the rear spacer block, 250 has 2.5 or 3" rear shoe option, 350 only get 3" (someone correct me i those widths are wrong) and the 250 has a dana 50 in front vs a dana 60. Both trucks have same rear axle rating, GVWR and combo rating. The 1 tons can carry more "legally on the front axle
In stock form they will pull and handle alot more than what is legal. I put around 2200* in bed for plowing and truck just levels out. Towing you can get up around or little over 20,000 combo depending on hills and what rears you have. These trucks really wake up with intake and exhaust and chip. Set up like that I would run 26,000+ with out problems
Holy cow - Those are some huge numbers - Makes me wish I had a dump trailer for my firewood endeavors - I have access to a couple of flatbed trailers which need some tlc.. Thanks for the info..
