Electric Shift on the Fly

Electric Shift on the Fly
Hello everyone. My work will be ordering me a new truck in the coming days and I wanted to see if anyone knows on the 2011 F-250 XLT with the following options if the Electric Shift on the fly was included. My fleet manager stated it was an option but I haven't seen one yet with the shifter on the floor. The options it will come with is the XLT package, Sync, and running boards along with the XLT package with the 6.2L gas and 4x4 of course.
Does anyone have a picture of theres with the shifter on the floor? Im trying to decide if its worth the money to add on the shift on the fly as I will have to pay that out of my pocket. Also are there any options that are must haves? I do sales and have put roughly 45k miles a year on my truck. I will be doing a smaller 12ft trailor thats boxed in and has some equipment in there. I may use a 16ft trailor from time to time as well. Thanks for all the help!

If you or your company are ordering trucks i can assume you or they have the options to build or choose which options you want. The ESOF is an option on either the XL or the XLT. Remember though, options can vary from region to region and can also change depending on other packages or options choosed or purchased. Generaly, in most cases they are an option. The ESOF is available as an $180 option in my region on both the XL and XLT models.
Most if not all "Lot" trucks will most always be found with the ESOF.
Me personaly, I would not waste my money. The ESOF has many areas that can fail and do. Although when properly maintained it will work well and trouble free. Most people don't maintain them though. The manual shift is typically choosen by the more rugged off-roader or hard core enthusiast. This includes the manual locking hubs. They are much less likely to fail and will well outlast the ESOF.

thanks everyone! I live in Florida and dont need the 4x4 that often but do when going on job sites as the dirt/sand mixture is impossible to get through with 2wd. Hell its even tough with 4wd. My bigest concern was cab room. I would like no having the floor shifter in the way but didnt know if it was an eye sore or got in the way for anyome with cab room.
Also I have a jotto desk in my 08 f-150 and wanted to know if anyone has either the RAM or Jotto desk in there 2011 f-250 and which one they thought was better? Id prefer the arm not to take up very much if at all any of the passenger leg room.
Also is the backup camera option worth it? It looks nice but didnt know if its worth the money?

I've asked about it in the past, but I've never had an issue with the ESOF on any of my Ford's. Snow season is upon us once again in Colorado, and I won't have any issues with it in my newest truck either. ESOF was STANDARD on my 09. I'm reading the window sticker as I type this. Maybe it's a Colorado thing like the heater block cord coming with it. Don't know, don't care.
