1988 ford f250 a few questions!

Hey I recently bought an old ford im 16 years old i havent driven it yet as its not insured but I already have some questions I have no dash lights and there is only power going to one side of the fuse?(yes we check and replaced the fuse a few times they werent blown) It has a 302 in it i was wondering if there was anything I could do to the motor to give it a bit more uhmph haha that would be very cheap and cost affective. Im buying 35's and 18's for it in 3 weeks I was wondering if I could just lift it by buying rear blocks and front leaf spring or do I have to buy a whole lift kit what have you guys done? Also the wheel well are all rusted and the box is dented how hard is it to just replace boxes Ive already found some at my local junk yard thanks Dylan!

for a bit more speed you could get a k&n cold air intake, and maybe do a tune up (sparkplugs, wires, distributor, etc etc) and about the box its simple, its just 4 bolts, but there more than likely rusted on so you would just have the cut the bolt off.
