Offenhauser/Holley/EFI Manifolds/Exhaust (Pic's)

I installed the Offenhauser duel plane intake manifold with the EFI split exhaust manifolds, a Holley 390 cfm 4 barrel and a Hilborne type air cleaner, then had 2" true duel exhaust run to 2 flowmaster mufflers and then 2 1/2" pipe's straight out the rear. Sounds great and it hauls A$$

No cross over or X pipe just true duel pipes to the rear, it has plenty of power and sounds good, just remember if using the holley 390 they have issues with off idle bog and flat spots which need to be fine tuned out by changing the jetting, squirter and cams which can lead to lots of research and additional carb work and you will have to build your own throttle cable bracket, just letting everyone know when it comes to the Holley carburetor, it's not a bolt on and drive conversion.

Overland-That's a sweet lookin setup.Questions though:why the dual plane vs.non and are there any issues with the EFI exhaust manifolds on a non EFI motor? modifications? just curious

I got into this lately, took off my old antique Holley 850 DP and replaced with Holley 850 Street HP and had to up the squirters and change the pump cams just to get the throttle response to be as good as the old carb I took off.

No problems using the EFI manifolds on a non EFI engine, they are split into two manifolds so you can run dual exhaust and the ports are bigger for better flow, the dual plane manifold is better if your not going to build your motor to radical and works best when using a stock cam, the open plane is better used on high rpm performance motors or for racing. For daily driving I chose the Dual plane Offenhauser manifold. The reason I used EFI manifolds instead of headers is from my research the headers make it difficult to change out the starter, I didn't want to have to pull the header and intake manifold just to replace a bad starter.
