Craftsman tool kit w/metric & SAE 1/4,3/8,1/2 drive deep and reg, complete sets of open end/box wrenches, DMM, tow strap, load strap, tire step, oil, coolant, fuel filter, hoses & belt, Jumper cables, CPS, STARTER, IPR socket, hpo line tool. and AAA card. And AutoEnginuity for long trips.
I also have a portable file behind the seat with printed info I have accumulated off these sites on no start issues etc. And a Factory service manual (engine).
With my camper shell, I can fit a lot of crap back there.
Home Depot sells these nice black chests with hinged lids for $20 I think, they are extremely tough, and hold gallons of oil, coolant, filters, rags, bungees etc.

My stuff built up over time. Some of it was from my first truck and went into the next with more, and even more when I got this rig. Buy a tool here and there. Get straps when they go on sale (tractor supply has some decent sale prices). Or you can get lucky like my dad and find tow chains and tools lying on the side of the road.
