My transmission is almost ready for re-assembly ('77 4X4 C6) but I need an output shaft. The guts of the transmission were ruined and required a core C6 for a lot of the hard parts but I still need the 4x4 shaft. Anybody have one just kicking around????

The rebuild is being handled by Precision Transmission in Hamilton and Frank is trying his resources but the sooner I have a shaft the sooner I can have it back in the truck. Thanks.

 

I'm pretty sure I have one still in a core up here in North Bay Ont,how soon do u need it? Gerry

 

Gigger, Thank you very much for the offer. I did find one (actually two) and now have the transmission built, now the SFI flexplate is on backorder and I'm still waiting to bolt it together. by the time I've got it all done it's time to put in storage

 

Well this is a first for me.

We were at Macgregor PP this past summer, and decided to go to Kincardine and see what it had to offer. We past this black lifted truck with a huge hood scoop, and I just had to turn around and get a pic of it. (my son in law collects pics of trucks and I thought he would one of this truck)
Anyway, I open this thread and ........look what I see.

 

A neighbour from around the corner, Listowel is a great town. I've owned the truck so long that people use it for directions, "head down this street and when you see a big black truck then turn right",

 

So I mentioned to the Mrs what I saw here, and she said that we were in Port Elgin when we saw the truck, not Kincardine.

So is this the same one, or am I totally messed up?

I am getting older.

 

I'm up in Port a lot also and I'm the only one (I know of) with the scoop on. If it was flat black with gloss black flames then it was mine. Please don't remind me of the age thing......wait it's probably ok because I'll forget in 10 minutes

That's her, and it's still in that identical position!!!!! The last of the parts arrived and now it's just waiting for some bay time. The shop in the background belongs to very talented young mechanic, the only one I trust to work on the truck. It's been a long wait this time to get back on the road.
