I had one little hiccup when I opened the tailgate, there was a bulge in the stainless steel angle at the end of the boards and it scraped the paint off dont to the primer about 2 inch wide..

 

Is that it there in the middle of the tailgate?? A real bummer...

 

It's about the 3rd of the way from the left side.. I have it fitting properly now, a bit late though...lol

 

So, a little bit of touchup is on your schedule...

 

Eventually sometime next summer, you don't see it at all with the gate up. All because I didn't have that one board all the way forward in the box, must have moved before I tightened down all the bolts and didn't notice....

 

That is a good thing.. You will be enjoying the ride before you have to really put attention to it.. I winterized my bikes with some stabile storage. Fired then up to circulate the stuff.. Hope I used enough since I wasn't wearing my glasses..

 

I put a can of Seafoam in the tank on my last ride in the panel, still need to do an oil change on it. I have a few things I want to do to the panel over the winter too..

Might be a good idea for a while. It's hidden with the tailgate closed?

 

I can't do anything about it now anyways so will have to wait until next summer at the earliest..

 

That is when you get some warm weather I assume..
