Hi John, did you manage to change your starter or is it still too cold?

I installed it yesterday. Tested the old starter again and it still works but the cable from the motor to the solenoid is rotten with corrosion and why it failed. I might pull it apart to see if I can change out the cable and have a spare starter..

Always good to have a spare John. Do you plan on keeping the truck for a long time yet?
Hello Steve, sounds like another nice evening.

Nope John.. It was chicken and green chili enchiladas, cheesy rice and refried beans.... Son-in-law doesn't care for enchiladas so he heated up a couple country ribs..

As long as the truck runs I'll keep it, the body will likely die before the motor does...it's rusting pretty bad. If I found a rust free body I might be tempted to fix it up..

Front fenders are rusting bad and the box is starting to get to the point where it would be too much work to completely restore, cab corners are going but that's an easy fix..
Calling it a night...ttyl

Fenders are cheap to buy, easy to change and a nice a flat deck would take care of the box.
Good night John.

morning guys ! hows the frame john, around here good running trucks are scraped because of the frame rotting and braking. Toyota replaces frames if there rusted ,gm just wants you to pay 2000$ for some sort of rust treatment, you would think that gm would put there pants on and replace frames too . or at least change there ****ty pitch that they use .
