Rear AC/HEAT Blend door

I'm not exactly sure if my blend door is hanging up or if the motor is going out. It makes a constant popping noise and goes back and forth from hot to cold.I've been told its a pain to work on, is it worth trying to do myself? Got any tips?

Not sure about the rear blend door, but the front one is difficult. Cost about $1300 at the dealer, 850 labor and 350 parts. I saw it when the dash was off and there were pieces of car everywhere.

The dash does not need to come off. It's a way for them to rack up huge labor bills. You can access it by taking out the radio and bezel. It's tight but doable.

Send me a PM with your email address. I just sent another user some info on replacement. The files are too large to attach here.
