08 6.4 NO START after Spartan Install- Help!

I recently got a Spartan Phalanx and a 5" flow pro down pipe back exhaust.

Yesterday I took old exhaust off and then followed the instructions for loading a DPF off tune. THe tune loaded successfully and the stockbackup was complete. I started it up (with exhaust off-only downpipe in place). Shut the pickup off and finished installing the Flow Pro exhaust, tried to start and nothing. I was freaked out thinking that i somhow fried the PCM, I did a diagnostic and it had 2 DPF sensor codes. Cleared the codes and it started up and ran like a champ. Took it for a short drive and parked it. Tried to start and the same thing, (nothing) it will not turn over. I ran the diagnostic again and got a high temp and pressure codes for DPF. This I expected because the post DPF temp sensor was not installed as I could not get it off the old exhaust. I cleared the codes multiple times as they kept popping up again, but it wont start. I did get the missing sensor installed and there are now no codes popping up. But still wont start.

This is my only vehicle and I am dead in the water right now! Any ideas??

You might want to disconnect the batteries to reset the computer. Just a shot in the dark here...... Also, you might want to try to call an authorized Spartan dealer. Have you tried to load any other tunes? You might be able to reload the stock tune to see if it starts, then load up another tune. If all else fails, call Mick at Spartan tomorrow. Hope this helps.....

It says very clearly in the instructions not to start the vehicle with an "off-road" tune in place without the proper "off-road" exhaust installed with all of the sensors in them . Words along the lines that "serious engine damage may result...", etc. That's what you did, which might explain why you're hosed right now. Clearing the codes and disconnecting the batteries might help, but I'd wait to hear from Mick @ Spartan for a solution. You might be making things worse. Keep your fingers crossed...good luck.

Thanks for the link. Okay I got the bugs worked out. For anyone who has this issue, My advise would be. DO NOT start the pickup with any of the exhaust sensors disconnected. I had to replace one of hte sensors and connect all 3 temp sensors and the pressure sensor, then clear the codes, flash back to stock, and then flash the tune again. It is now running like a champ. HOLY S*** it is fun to drive, what a big difference. I am running the 125HP right now and it ROCKS!!!!
