Jim & Jimmy - guess we need to come up with a time to meet Friday. I know Steve & I won't make it to Holopaw until around 7:30. We figure leaving here its about 2 hours without anything in tow so we're allowing an additional 1/2 hour.

Also, what is a C-Store? Is there an address I can punch in my garmin?

A C-store is short for Convienence Store. Sorry being in the business, I tend to shorten it when typing.

Originally, I was going to meet everyone at the C-store and have you follow me to the gate. But, since there are only 3 coming, use the address below to get to the gate.

If your GPS does not register Holopaw, use St Cloud for City. Mine did not know what Holopaw was.

When you get on Holopaw Groves Road (a dirt road) stay on it until you get to a large iron gate. The dirt road is approx 2 miles to the gate. When you get on the dirt road, call me (407) 797-3248 and I will meet you at the gate and lead you to the camp.

 

I'm not happy... my truck is getting an "overhaul"...and I doubt she will be done by weeks end.

Cold weather, campfire, chit chat with new friends, and cold beer... does not get any better than that.... looks like I am going to miss out.
I can only hope there will be another event like this in the winter down here...and I will be available to attend then.

Unless something changes dramatically by weeks end... I will probably be a no go.

 

Dont worry about the truck, throw a sleeping bag, tent and some food in the car and come out and camp.

We have plenty of room around the fire pit.

Oh and Jimmy, I only bought 1 pack of burger & hot dog buns. I'd hate to have a ton left over cause I don't eat them fresh. If everyone just brings 1 pack with them, that would work good.

I have 2 pork butts done for Saturday night and a ton of maccaroni salad.

 

No GPS here I will call when I'm getting close.

Well the weekend was a great time, it was a pleasure meeting everyone. A special thanks goes out to jd58980 for being a great host! The muddin was a blast and we all had a great time. Thanks to Steve for using his magic pitch fork to protect the fire!!! Someone is going to hit an aluminum gold mine at the bottom of that fire pit! I will work on getting some pic's up ASAP. Anyone else have pic's please post them up. Thanks everyone for a great time!

We enjoyed meeting all of you. Had a great time and I have a ton of pictures, most of which involve mud. I'll post up some of the picts in the other thread tomorrow when I get home from work.
