As I have been researching some of my favorite parts of the 70s F-series, including packages and options. I remembered the Camper Special's factory generator under the hood.

I would love some details about them. generator model, power output, and of course a few pics would really be nice.

Neat,I never knew about them ,but could have used about three of them when I was in the construction buisiness.

 

I recently got a 78 camper special and couldn't figure out what some of the controls were inside the cab and some under the hood. They are at the driver side inner fender well. Looks like it used to have a generator there.

 

Looked right at one a few years ago during the "Great obama Scrapfest" and didnt know what it was either. Shure wish I would have known.

 

Several years ago I bought a 79 super cab camper special 4x4 F250 4x4 for peanuts and sold it cheap because I didn't know what I had. This time around I wasn't gonna let it get away
