Vermont October BS - trick or treat
#50
I spent saturday watching college football, then went to the Semi-pro game here Saturday night. Sunday I loaded up my 67 frame on my car trailer. It's outside in the parking lot, here at work. Going to drop it off at my brothers house this afternoon. He has a nice outbuilding that he's letting me store it in.

Sat night I was moving the cars back into the yard and saw somthing moving around the '68 rear tires (it was still outside). Looked closley and it was a mouse runnign around the rear left tire. Saw him jump on the inside of the wheel and disappear. I think I might have a mouse nest in the rear left drum of all places.
Sunday morning I removed a mouse nest from both side cowl areas of the cab just behind the fenders. The garage is baited so they shouldn't be around for to long
And the e-brake cable on the '68 is dragging on the ground. That's how often I use it...

After getting the '68 into the garage and gettign my first free moment I started towards the socket set to start pulling stuff off. But 1/ way between the tool box and the truck the GF called being all whinny and girly like and I had to go over her place. So I organized a tool box draw while being on the phone with her than left for her place.
I tried to take pictures but the phone screamed at me every time I tried to turn the camera on. Something about being out of battery power.

Sheesh, Dan. You're going to get your man-card pulled from that, talk about someone needing to work on their truck!!
I have a honey-do list to get taken care of, then I need to get the cab out of storage. I'm going to weld up a stand with casters on it, for the cab to sit on, while I work on it. Unfortunately, the garage I have isn't heated. The shop I was working in is now occupied by my nephews, so I'll be working at home for a while. Now, if I could just convince the wife to park her Expedition outside for the winter.....(Fat chance!)

You know I'm just giving you a hard time. I total understand.
My '68 has been in a tent for a the past ??? years. Between the GF, my moms house, winter and trying to keep my legal cars legal I haven't touched the '68 or '72. Now that the '68 is in the garage and my cars seem to be on a stretch of "doing ok" I should be able to get some headway this winter. I have a heated garage to work in. Hopefully money will be the only limiting factor in the '68 for a while.
The '68 was taken off the road in '06. I saw it has a '07 reg sticker on the plate.
I was able to fenagle 1/2 of a 2 bay garage.

I like those style trucks. My Dad had bought one of those 25-30 years ago. It was a 4 wheel drive standard long bed that had been rolled. He cut the roof off it and used it as a wood truck to carry logs, firewood and to actually pull logs. You would have to do at least one and a half turns before the front wheels would begin to move.
