No idea what is wrong, but...here goes...Preventative Maintenance goes a long way...If you've been using something to help with lubricity and clean since the ULSD mandate, and your injectors are filthy, you need to replace them. IF you think they may be dirty, it won't hurt anything to try it... Hell, it will never hurt to "try" something unless it hurts something else in your quest....a 6.0 is easy enough to change the injectors in though. That's MY opinion, and I'm sticking with it...

injector problems
i have an early 03 ,supposed to be the bad engine. i now have 184,000 miles on her and have replaced 1 icp sensor,ball joints, sway bar bushings,alternator and 2new batteries. my fuel mixture is 5 galllons of kerosene,4 oz's of wal-mart tech 3 ashless 2 stroke oil and 4 oz's of powerstroke cetane booster(silver bottle) to a full tank of diesel. runs like a top.have towed 14,500 lbs to florida through pennsilvania mountains. and still runs like new . best super duty i have had.
