Big Truck Envy - Chuck's F-7 Coleman

I may have found two, sight unseen as of yet though. Valley Auto Body and Truck stop in Waterbury. The owner there has an interesting junk yard, mostly old stuff there like a yard from the '80s almost. You can see two large wreckers that after talking to the owner says one is an 850 (doesn't look big enough, probably a 750) and the other is a 50 ton Weld Bilt. He said he's got a pair of 650's just out of view in the yard by an old school bus, I was working and couldn't go take a look.

Yup, a lot can be learned in the pages of this thread. I'd also suggest reading Craig Trout's postings over on the Just Old Trucks site. Stu

Guessing it probably had to run in quite a bit of mud hence the front duals. I've seen pictures of M-2-4 IHCs (ww2 USMC 1 ton) dualed on all four corners. Lucky for you inheriting it.

So the story on this truck was my dad got it from a old gold miner that used it in the rawhide gold mine to deliver some heavy stuff down the mountain and after it got used he drove it down of a canyon and a tree fell on the cab so my dad and his buddies got it fried up and drove it out of the canyon when it was sitting there for like 20 years then my. Dad used it as his boom truck at his junk yard my dad put a 283 small block chevy in it with a sm420 granny low transmission
