Mustang Throttle Body Fit?

So I was surfing craigslist the other day, and a guy had an edelbrock upper and lower intake for $180. I was wondering if the stock throttle cable would work on a 5.0 mustang throttle body. If it matters, my truck is an 88 150 with a 302. Any input would be appreciated.

It can definitely be done with some modification and that modification will depend on which way you decide to run the upper intake. I decided to run mine reversed and here are some pics of what I ended up doing to make the stock cable work. I used only the part of the stock bracket that the cable clipped into then made a bracket to bolt to the EGR eliminator plate.

I agree that it can be done, but I also agree that the stock 5.0 intake is pretty good. I would keep the stock intake, unless your building a pretty modified motor.
