Oil pressure erractic

Where is the oil pressure sensor located?

It's attached to the engine by screw type threads. and has a wire coming off of it.

Thanks I found it. ITs located on driver side back of engine. Its near the top of the cylinder head.

Cleaned the contacts and took care of erratic oil pressure needle.

I thought that the oil pressure guage was little more than an idiot lite, i.e., it was either on or off. Comes on about 8 psi and reads middle of the guage until it goes off.

but what do I know, I don't even know what kind of engine it is, other than it's in a ranger.
