i was reading four wheeler magazine today and they said that jeep is gonna put a 2.8 cdr powered diesel in the liberty. just thought that you would like to know.....

Diesel in a liberty? I hope it can stand up to the rattle and shake of that engine without falling apart too much. If it is used offroad 80% of the time with that diesel I can just about guarantee it will loosen up and eventually have to be resupported with aftermarket steel.

I know because I grew up overseas in Africa where there is more dirt than pavement and I lived in a fairly modern country.

The liberty is the "Cherokee" in Europe. Since fuel costs have always been relatively expensive, Jeep offered a diesel for awhile.. I'm not sure exactly what diesel it is, but I'm sure it's the same as whats here.

 

Sounds good to me. As far as the shake, you can balance that out..
