GTG Idea

show of hands who would be interested in deep sea fishing out of port aransas for the next big (hopfully this time) GTG. I'm thinking of booking a private charter for the Texas Chapter member/family only. Maybe early this next summer. If we have enough people to do it. the price wont be that bad. If we dicide on doing this I would say lets set the date in stone early Jan. Then we could have a designated person to open an account and everyone deposit there part of the trip in there. That way you can save the money though the first part of the year, and not all at once. What do you think?

I would like to say that I'm 100% sure that I will be there, but so far out it will be impossible to predict what might come up. Sooo I'll say I'm 98% sure I'm game.

Interested

Sounds fun.... But more details and dates would be required for a commit.

A couple of suggestions:

1. Consider Summer months like June, July, and Aug since nasty prevailing winds of spring finally calm down and the water will be much smoother.

2. Book it during Snapper season. This way people can bring home more fish!

I agree with that. When I went a few weeks ago, the guide told me season didn't start untill oct though. But yeah I fig we won't worry about setting a date untill Jan or feb.

sounds like a fun idea Scotty. Count me in for now. Never know what might happen between now and then, but this is something I've always wanted to do. I've never been deep sea fishing before.

I would like to lobby for the date of this being between March 11th and March 20th. That is my spring break and I'm absolutely free during this time.

If the snapper season GTG happens I might just seen what I can do to make that happen. I haven't been able to do snapper fishing in a long time.
