94 3.0L help - Fuel rail disconnect

I am changing out my lower intake manifold and need to disconnect the fuel lines to the fuel rail. How do I disconnect it? Do I use the same tool that I use for the fuel filter?

If not that exact tool, then one like it. I used a piece cut from an oil container, rolled into a cylinder and pushed behind the retainer spring. Once the spring has been expanded, the line can be separated.
