some states like colorado still have em. Mine says 1994 F150 2wd LB pickup. hahah. Still get hit on weight for commercial tags but it aint bad in florida. Im looking for F150 tags right now, it will be way more fun to have those on the truck and a banks turbod diesel. hahaha
When I went thru the drill to transfer the truck from my Dad's name to mine the tax office in Ms said I had to get a bonded title since i didn't have the original. Well that sounded good at the time. When I got the title and tried to register in La i found out that La will not accept an out of state bonded title. Since the tag office made the mistake they allowed me to register it in Ms since Ithere is family property there. I have a Retired Navy Tag from Ms on the rear bumper and live in La.
Well yeah but was your dad able to re register each year? if so they shouldnt have had such an issue, i hate the title process, its just another piece of paper work that gets lost. I left mine electronic with the state of florida. If i ever need it they just send it off express.
My Dad passed away in 2008. The truck had current registration up until April of this year. Some how in the process of going thru everything the title was lost. I had the paper work to transfer it to me, but since I didn't have the title the tag office said I needed to do a bonded title. What they should have done was use the paperwork I had to apply for a lost title and then I could have transferred the ownership to me and had a clean title.
