I don't think that you are using them because they are "in style"...but then again I don't know what's cool in PR these days. If you like them then keep 'em...as for me, I think that they would obstruct my vision especially when looking to the left as one would do while making a lefthand turn.

I think the rectangle ones would look better but the round one aren't so bad, paint them the same colour as the truck and no one would notice. At least you can see behind you.

They'll take at least 10MPH off your top end.

I had the same thought. Lots of vibration, poor image quality, and lots of wind noise. It's a really nice monkey face, but you asked our opinon. I think they are too big. I't your truck, make yourself happy.

I built a set of mirrors for my panel truck fairly cheaply using parts from a easily found parts from local stores. Anyone who owns a panel truck will attest they have the worse case of blind spots of almost any truck, I describe it as driving with a five gallon bucket on your head with a viewing slot cut in the front. I wanted mirrors that were big. I also added a small convex mirror in the corner. All of the parts are stainless so I don't have to worry about rust and I think they look pretty era correct. They have rectangular heads but round one can be bought:

This is a picture of one of the mirrors on my F-4

Here is the panel truck but it isn't at the best angle to show the mirrors:

Here's how I did it:

Old style truck mirror bracket

Yes, This Looks Very Nice!

Visibility is Important.... No seat in the truck, ( Seat in the Shop). haven't check the visibility angle yet.

If you found a similar size rectangular mirror I think that would be better.

You could kill small birds with those things !!! haha.

just joking, its your truck, do as you please. I dont run any mirrors on my 56. I just drive faster than everyone else !! i tried using the curved "peep" mirrors, but i dont like them , and would never "trust" them. I just turn my head and look.

Mirriors

Not sure I like the look for your truck.

This got me interested - what kind of mirrors are you all using?

I'd like to see photos.

Any custom mirrors or installations?

Thanks

Dan
