I'm still in denial of only one more good month of summer weather. September's pretty good too, but then freezing temps on October nights and November's guess is as good as any; fall like weather, record snow storms around Thanksgiving.
Time flies by so fast.
Morning everyone. Still waiting for my parts to come in. I'm thinking of taking her on a long drive this weekend to Parsonfield, Maine for some weekend festivities and a car show. Not sure yet. There or Andover Home Days looks fun too.

Wow, already? Excellent. It really looks like a lot of fun. I'd love to go. I'd hate to put the miles on my truck, but hey, it's a vehicle....needs to be driven anyways, eh? I'd love to see all those dents and bumpsides, plus some of the early 50's pickups and take tons of pictures.

I second!!!
Speaking of gas.....this hitech engine of mine got about 9 mpg from Washington state to Boston when my wife and I took a vacation and drover her cross country. This was on the small tires, 235,75r15. When we got to Boston, we put the 37x12.5x15's on and got 12mpg. Interesting, huh? Scientifically, the larger tires should get you further with less revolutions, thus lower rpm's at the same speed. The reason everyone thinks worse gas mileage with larger tires is the harder load on the engine, right? That's my guess anyways, but since there's so much horsepower already, the load wasn't a factor, thus better mpg's! I used my gps for mileage in case you were wondering, I knew the odometer would be skewed.
