73 f100....on the bed it says explorer which i understand but on the dash it says custom...is this right or would it be different badges...i thought an explorer was explorer and custom was custom...ya feel me....lol
on the fender badges and the bed badges how do they attach to the body...what clips or whatever and where are they available...?
on my cab corner trim i took off the driver side came off easily but the passenger side clip broke...it was very rusted and will need replaced...i have seen them in lmc but would it come with the whole backing or should i just start looking for other options?
i understand i have a somewhat rare molding in the dent...it's plain...no rubber or vinyl insert in it...in other words it's all aluminum plain and perdy....is it actually rare? does anyone else have this?
Vin decode please... F10GLR09562
okay..that was more than a couple....love the side...like how it's always active....this is awesome
I didn't either. I'm just plagued with free time, so thought I'd see what I could find for ya. And yeah, January of '73, right at the beginning of the line.
Also, Michigan's not so bad. Just found out my truck came from Kentucky. Sigh. LOL!

The "Explorer" option was a trim and equipment package option that was usually ordered on the base "Custom" model. I have seen two "Ranger" trim trucks equipped with the "Explorer" package.
The "Custom" badge on the dash and the "Explorer" badges on the bed are correct. My '73 Explorer is equipped the same way, so is my '75.
