Wiring in a battery gauge

I got a myself a gauge that is suppose to read the amount of charge a battery has in it. Its designed for 12v marine batteries, but is suppose to work with any 12v battery, car, truck, boat or otherwise. The gauge is set up to only operate for a few seconds at a time, not continuously. My question is, how big of a fuse should I wire in?

I got it at cabelas, and I got the one capable of testing two different batteries: Cabela's -- Battery Gauges

It looks like a fancy voltmeter to me. 1 amp or so should do it.

Thanks! Its certainly nothing special, but I have read a lot of reviews and people seem to like it. One more wiring question, I just bought a roof mount 50 watt spot light, what fuse should I get for it?

50watts=12volt x amps

amps=4.16

I would feed it with a 16 gauge wire and fuse it for 10 amps.

Ok, thanks. I have some 12 GA primary wire that should work nicely.
