Radius Arm Bushings.

I started getting a vibration from my truck on the highway at around 50MPH that got me worried. When I looked underneath I noticed that a leak from the steering box and about 35 years of aging has caused the radius arm bushings to disintegrate on the drivers side. Now I have to change them out and want to know, what is the best way to get that done? How much do I have to take apart to get those things changed out?

If you're going to start replacing bushings at the radius arm, you might be best served doing the rest along with them. You can buy the kit at JBG with C bushings, rad bushing and track arm bushings pretty cheap. You'll need to break most of the stuff loose to replace the rad bushes anyhow. Hang your front axle and start unbolting everything. 12 bolts all together.

All good info unless it is a 2wd truck.

I thought about that after I posted. Don't have any experience on 2wd wagons.

I posted this same question and got some good responses. If you do a search you can read what others say about this. I to have a 2wd and need to do mine. Most say just to pull forward on the axle and the arms come out. Do one side at a time. then pull them back into place with a come along. Didnt sound tough at all but I wanted to make sure.
