Is fuel injector cleaner effective? What's the best cleaner?

 

Yes, fuel injector cleaners are effective. You need to run it through at least once a year. Like anything else you get what you pay for. The cheaper you are on buying it the less effective it will be. The best out there in my opinion is 44K made by BG. It can be hard to find and it is about 25-30 bucks a can but it can't be beat. If you can't find that, Seafoam poured directly in the gas tank is also good. Lucas injector cleaner is also good.

I've never used it, but I hear Marvel Mystery Oil works well too.

 

I run Techron in mine at every oil change. Once a year I run Seafoam in the tanks. I have heard great things about that BG stuff too.

 

I use either seafoam or Marvel Mystery Oil.....
