Need Help on '51 F3 Crossover Pipe

I have a 51' F3 that I have been restoring for a few years and I'm finally approacing the end. I need to put an exhaust system on it but when I bought the truck it didn't have the crossover pipe that attached to the manifolds so I'm not sure what I'm looking for. This truck has the original V8 flatty in it.

Is the crossover pipe one piece or two? Does anybody know where I can find/buy one of these?

Thanks for all the help!

I would go to your local exhaust and muffler shop and have them weld one up for you. Have them powder coat it when they are done!

Like Julie said or look through the major repro parts warehouses, like Mac's, DC, Sac Vintage, etc., as they carry them.

If you look in the parts catalog they might only list the F-1, it's the same pipe, the difference is in the pipes after the crossover because the F-2 and F-3 are longer. By the time you order the pipe pieces and pay for shipping you'd be better off taking the truck to a good exhaust shop and have them custom build a system. It'll probably cost a few bucks more but they can tweak the pipes as they build it and you won't have to lay on your back for a whole day fighting with pipes that I guarantee will be slightly off.

The pipe coming out of the driver side manifold is a simple 90 degree piece that connects with the passenger side tube under the oil pan at the front. I have bought several of these exhaust systems from dennis carpenter and others, it is 3 pieces of pipe and a muffler. I did have one passenger side tube that was made wrong, bends were good tho. The pipe that connects to the passenger side exhaust manifold is about 8 inches long and where it meets up with the lower pipe they had welded it in too far thus blocking the pipe. A pain to fix but I prefer to do things myself rather than have a shop do it so I would buy them again.
