Thanks,

Mine is installed correctly.

My 2-3 accumulator (previous post) seems to be working properly.

The only thing not exactly as depicted in some manuals I have...is the 1-2 accumulator valve....in that it has two springs (one each end of the valve), but it IS shown that way in the Ford Factory manual as a "high rate" version.

So.....I am confident the VB and associated valves, springs, plugs, etc.. are in the their correct positions and currently moving freely (on the bench).

I will reinstall it today, torque to 80 in. lbs and try it. If no OD then re-torque to 100 in. lbs., if no OD....then I'll drive the dang thing into the lake!

Thanks again,

Flint.

Put it all back together today. While I had the VB out...I checked both servos and the accumulator, all O.K.

Double checked TV cable adjustment, was good. Road test was no different than before. All upshifts, downshifts, partial and WOT are good except...no OD.

The only time the OD band/servo is applied is in 4th OD and manual 2nd. I have engine braking in Man 2nd....so that suggests the servo and band are "capable" of being applied.

Anyone know where I can pick up an air test plate for an AOD for a reasonable price?

Until I have time to work on it further...will it hurt the tranny to drive it in (D) lockout around the farm?
