My 95' F150
Hi guys,
My name is Michael, I'm 18 years old and i barely no anything about trucks. I own a 95' Ford F150 5.8L V8 and the front tank doesn't work. I can start the truck and run the truck on the back tank and it will run fine, but when I go to start it on the front tank absolutely nothing happens. I tried running it on the back tank and switching it to the front tank and when i did that it stayed running but it wasn't a high idle, it would like bog down and not run right, well idle right cause it won't drive when it's on the front tank. The gas gauge when it's on the front tank shows that it's a 1/2 inch above full and there's only about a 1/4 tank of gas in it, so... If you have any information that might help me with this problem please reply, and Thank You for your help

Sounds like something wrongwith the fuel pump or pickup unit inside the fuel tank itself...although, I suppose maybe something could be wrong with the tank switch valve.
Maybe get someone to check the fuel rail pressure while the truck's running on the front tank compared to the functional rear tank.
A auto repair or dealer shop would do this for a fee, or if you squandered all your bucks on the truck itself...and if you have a local vo-tech in the area...might talk to the auto instructor about it. Probably get it done for free at the vo-tech auto shop.
Not a hard task..but you need a suitable guage or digital pressure meter, and know where to screw it on at.
