2002 Explorer 4x4 Problem
Hey everyone!
Hope someone here can shed some light for me! My 2002 4x4 hasn't worked in the last year, and would like to finally stop that blinking light in my dash! the 4x4 High light just keeps flashing. Hitting 4x4 High or Low does absolutely nothing for me! No clicking behind the dash or any sound from the under body.
I'm ASSUMING it's the 4x4 control module, but am not sure. Any help would be appreciated!

Given your symptoms and the fact that it's an '02 it's a pretty good bet that your 4X4 CM is the problem. It's hard to throw a $175 (online) part at a problem without being sure, but if you take it to the dealer and have it repaired they will want about $500. I have read about some folks finding the correct module on ebay for under $100, but there is always risk getting a good part that is correct for your year/make/model.
