93 F-250 IDI, center support bearing/bushing on driveshaft
I have a 1993 F-250 IDI, 4wd, 270k.
I've just finished replacing the 3 U-joints on my drive shaft, but I cannot get the bearing with the large rubber bushing around it removed. It is the bearing/bushing that supports the center of the drive shaft and bolts to the frame. I went ahead and cut away the bushing, but I cannot get the bearing to slide off. I also pulled the drive shaft apart at the flexible boot in the center, but that hasn't helped.
And I did mark how the drive shaft was lined up together and lined up with the rear axle.
Also, on a 4-wd, what is the gearbox? The guys at tire kingdom wanted $500 to replace it when I got my alignment done.
Thanks for all the help
