Windshield leaking down to glovebox- how to seal?

I have a 2000 excursion that I’ve noticed I get water on the passenger floorboard if it’s raining for several hours and standing still. I took apart the a pillar today and I notice a crack in the current sealant between the body where the leak is coming in. Should I seal this up from the bottom side, beneath the a pillar? Or use some flowable windshield sealant from above? I’m not too sure on which product would be right for me if someone else has any input. It’s leaking along that little rust line between the body and black seal- about 2” long. Thanks

I had a similar leak on that same passenger side, but closer to the top. My windshield guy was able to seal from the inside, this has worked for several years. I have a crack that traveled across that lower corner from last year, so I'll need a new windshield when I get around to it.
