Question Leaky Water Pump only at -10F

My 1950, with a 239 flathead, gets to sit out in the snow all winter. I fire her up every weekend. Last weekend, -10F, she rolled over slow, started, and while I was letting her warm up she leaked about 2 gal of fluid out of the right water pump. When I saw her steaming, I shut her down. Today, 25F, I topped up the coolant, fired her up, and she held her coolant and ran fine. I let the heater defrost the windows and drove her around the yard! No leaks! Should I change the water pump? Keith.

She probably just shrank in the extreme cold. I wouldn't change it just yet - but I'd keep an eye on it for a while. I've found that when the temp goes below 0* strange things happen.
