99 f350 clutch problem

I have a 99 f 350 4x4 crewcab with a 7.3 diesel and a 6 speed in it and my clutch pedal bar,pin just popped out of the plunger and can not figure out how to put it back in... tryed a few times and it just keeps coming out... does it have a retaining clip or something that holds it in??

Thanks for your time...

my guess is the retaining ball on the end of the pushrod broke off.
You may be able to get it out of there with a hose QR tool and some small pliers.
you can buy a replacement pushrod from the dealer for fairly cheap if I remember.
If you are unable to get it out and end up purchasing a new master cylinder it will come with a replacement pushrod as well.

Hope this helps.

Sorry, never answered your question, the pushrod is held in by a hose style quick release clamp. Their is a ball at the end of the pushrod that catches in their.

Thats true, if you buy the whole pre-bled system, its all plug and play.

Or just the litte plastic clip that holds the plunger to the brake pedal.

Dan, you may be right.
Kookie, which end are we talking about? The connection at the pedal, or the master cylinder?
