The higher the tune HP's, the more the lie-o-meter will be off from actual MPG. My 210 tune was off by about 3 MPG, the 275 about 6.5 MPG, and the 310 about 9 MPG from actual MPG. Enjoy your "new" truck!

im still waiting to do some hand cal. before i get to excited......all i can really report is what i am noticing and as of right now my fuel needle is still pointing at full and as not budged since i fueled up and that was 150 miles ago.....before it would start droping at 60 miles driven.... i typically dont run the truck when im not working so i wont actually have much to report untill next week unless i get a hot shot over the weekend...not very likely since i turned my phone off for the first time in a 2 months. i have noticed it has so much more power and its hard to just accelerate normal cause like everyone else you are tempted to punch it!!!! but i have been keeping my temptations in check for the most part....i have really opened it up twice just to see what it could do......and to get it out of my system a bit....as far as the higher the tune the more it lies maybe true but i dont care.....cause i know it is doing better than it was before and thats all i cared about. i just dont have any hard numbers from hand cal. yet but i promise to share when i do.

needle finally budged at mile 160.......goal is 600 in my 40 gallon tank.... 600miles/per tank would give me 15 mpg......i will report again when i notice something else worth noting.....also i am running a sct livewire on preformance setting which i believe adds around 120 hp.....if i have to tow....i will take it down to a safer mode......also whats the the highest level of egt i need to worry about??? thanks

so, you did the DOC and DPF delete..

did u drop the whole thing, work on it, then put it back on?

I've got a 4x2, so being under it is a pain in the axx..

pullin the parts together now..

did u jack it up some? use ramps?

little bit of gouging goin on with the pipes.. $125-250 for a section of exhaust pipe with a bung welded on and flared with clamp..

best I've found is 250 for doc & dpf pipes. 270 local+tax of course.

i used a ramp to help get under there.....i couldnt resist the temptation to fill up early to get some hard numbers already.... it showed 13.5 mpg so far hand cal......im alittle disapointed but thats a far cry from 8....its a mix of both fwy and city .....65% city....on extreme tune......im going to try preformance tune next to see whats the best tune to run.....

Its amazing what the regen crap does to fuel mileage on the 6.4. I bet your baby seems to breath easier too right? Now each time you drive you will just be smiling.

The truck needs time to stretch it's legs and adjust to it's newfound power, my truck was no different. Over time, you'll notice your fuel mileage getting higher and higher, just not right away.

Sorry for the delay, been on vacation. I was getting 9 MPG empty, Now with 3.73 gears i get 13 MPG. It did change the power but I haul a 3000 pound camper and tow a 7000 pound trailer. I didn't need the low gears.

Going from 8 to 13.5... that is a 68% improvement! I would not be disappointed with that in the least bit. Not to mention that you now have tons and tons of power!! I wouldn't count out further MPG improvements by the way, just be patient. As far as EGT temps, you can pull 10K+ load up a 7% incline all day long at 1200-1250 at a comfortable 65 mpg. I wouldn't want to hold anything over 1300 for any extended periods of time, and if you are hot roddin it don't be surprised to see 1600+ which is ok as long as its for a second or so. If you hold that temp for extended periods of time you could def do some turbo damage. If you need some more decreases in EGT's you can look at opening up the crimped downpipe to a ceramic plated 4" down pipe. You can also look into the intercooler tube that is crimped. However, just the few mods you made will let her breathe nice, cool and easy now.

What are you using to monitor your trucks vitals now?
Good luck with the 'new' truck! The truck sounds so much more baddassss now!

Thanks for the response, my trailer is 17K or so. I pulled it for a year with my f250 which had a 373, didn't seem to lack power except I wasn't going to win any drag races. Kinda scary merging sometimes. i have no idea what a change out would cost me, but it is a way to increase mileage. And, there is the option of buying that guys 2010.
